Surgical Nurse

After completing a New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology in 2017, Alana knew her passion lay in veterinary nursing. She furthered her education by achieving a New Zealand Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, graduating from Otago Polytechnic in 2019. 

Since the beginning of her career, Alana has worked as part of a highly skilled and experienced team at a busy small animal clinic in Christchurch. During this time, Alana developed special interests in surgical nursing and patient care.

At AO Christchurch, Alana provides each of her patients with one-on-one recovery. She blends professionalism with compassion. 
 

Outside of work Alana enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two special rescue cats, Gaiah and recently-adopted kitten Hazel. Both pets are totally adored.
