Cathrine Evans

Surgical Nurse

Growing up on a farm in North Wales, Cathrine was lucky enough to be exposed to animals from a young age. She moved to New Zealand with her family when she was a teenager. After finishing a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing through Otago Polytechnic in 2011, Cathrine sought further study by completing a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing through ARA Polytechnic in 2016.

Cathrine is passionate about veterinary nursing and providing a gold standard of care for all her patients. She has worked in the veterinary industry for over 10 years in a variety of clinics ranging from general practice to emergency and critical care.

Cathrine can often be found providing extra TLC and ensuring each of her patients is comfortable and has a well-managed pain plan. To ensure she provides the most up-to-date care, she regularly attend advanced veterinary nursing courses and is a strong advocate of anaesthesia and pain management.

In her spare time Cathrine enjoys swimming, reading a good book and she loves to travel. She has volunteered multiple times with South Pacific Animal Welfare, travelling to Samoa twice. Cathrine lives with her husband, two cats Tabitha and Betty and their Border Terrier Scotty.
