BVSc

Karen graduated from Massey University Veterinary school in 2007. She has completed several Master's papers including neurology, gastroenterology and emergency medicine. 

After working as a small animal veterinarian for 14 years in the North Island, she decided to pursue her passion for animal rehabilitation.

 

Karen enjoys fundraising for animal rescues across New Zealand through Scents 4 Paws. To date, Karen has donated more than $50,000.

 

Karen and her dog Odie donate their time to Canine Friends, where Odie loves to visit rest homes and give cuddles to local residents.
 

All of Karen's animals are rescues. Alongside her dog Odie, Karen has two cats Simba and TeeJay. In her spare time Karen enjoys exploring the walks that Christchurch has to offer and modern jive dancing.
