Alex graduated from Otago Polytech with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2018. She worked in general practice for four and a half years in veterinary clinics across Dunedin and Christchurch. Alex also volunteered at the South Island Wildlife Hospital for over two years.

Her love of learning brought her to AOC in December 2023, where her skills and knowledge are in demand. Alex loves the amazing team she works with and the time she spends with her patients (especially feeding cheese to recovering animals).

In her spare time, Alex enjoys all outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking and kayaking. When indoors she loves a good board game and snuggling with her 7-year-old adopted kitty, Jynx.
