Chislaine Arends

Animal Physio Technician

Originally from the Netherlands, Chislaine moved to New Zealand in 2013 after living and working in Thailand. After finishing a Certificate in Animal Technology, Chislaine then completed a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. She worked as a vet nurse in general practice for two years before joining the Animal Physio team as a technician.

Chislaine adores working with people and their pets and is passionate about animal welfare and rehabilitation. 
Chislaine co-founded Street Tails which helps provide basic veterinary care, physiotherapy treatments, grooming and distribution of food, jackets and bedding for homeless people’s dogs in Christchurch.

Chislaine lives with her partner Steve, rescue dog Ranger, ex-stray cat Izzy and two free range chickens, Rita and Carol. Outside of work, Chislaine loves the outdoors and can be found on top of a mountain or camping in the wilds.
